"Ancient And Admired" House Meridale is an ancient house that traces its lineage to the old continent of Dalecia. Following a failed coup attempt by the Lord Regent Nilgan in Y15 which was backed by House Meridale, House Meridale was exiled to the Mark by Queen Guinevere. The people of House Meridale in their bitterness chose to isolate themselves on the Mark and after centuries their culture has developed differently to the rest of the Novusan realm: the Marks-Men put much stock into tradition and proudly draw their family trees stretching far back to the days of Old Dalecia; more important than who you are is who your ancestors were. Day-to-day affairs on the Mark are dominated by the dealings of the many Artisanal guilds upon the isle. After centuries of self-imposed isolationism House Meridale is now attempting to rejoin the Gailian fold.
