Union of Columbia Postal Inspection Service

The Union of Columbia Postal Inspection Service was unofficially established in July of 1776 proceeding the establishment of the Union of Columbia Postal Service after the appointment of an auditor that served the purpose of auditing all inbound and outbound mail in the United States. The Union of Columbia Postal Inspection Service was officially established in August of 1801 when the title of auditor was changed to inspector, and the Union of Columbia Postal Inspection Service was established on paper as a federal law enforcement agency related to crime involving Union of Columbia mail. Today, the Union of Columbia Postal Inspection Service acts as the federal-level postal law enforcement agency of the Union of Columbia Postal Service.
