𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐒 French Light Infantry 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 The 6e Regiment of Light Infantry fought in over 40 battles during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, holding seven battle honors at the end of their existence for their participation in key battles such as Marengo, Freidland, and Wagram, immortalizing their reputation as one of the best light regiments of the Grande Armée. As light infantry, the men are expected to fight in loose formation, using cover and quick movements to harass the enemy line. Because of this, the light regiments had a better degree of independence than the line regiments.
